Best Wirless Mouse Expert Recommendation to Choose

I researched the best wireless mouse over the past few days because I need one for daily use and long working hours. I read reviews and user feedback from popular tech sources, and they consistently rate these two models among the best:

Logitech MX Master 4

Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse

However, I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs and would appreciate expert advice.

My usage includes office work, web browsing, multitasking, and occasional productivity tasks on a desktop/laptop. Comfort, battery life, accuracy, and smooth scrolling are important to me.

So, which wireless mouse would you recommend based on this usage?
Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Alexa1 and a big welcome,

I’ve been a Logitech MX Master user for many years and it’s my favourite. I presently use a 3 series and look forward to the 4 when this one kicks the bucket.

I’m not a gamer so cant speak from this perspective.

A mouse is one of those things you have to personally choose based on your own requirements. Since you are only looking at Logitech, it will start double-clicking within 2-4 years anyway and then you can pick a new mouse if you ended up not liking your choice.

I would say get a Logitech G604 (I currently use), or Razer Naga because I absolutely have to have at least 6 thumb buttons for my usage.

Please also consider the Logitech MX Vertical. It is tilted at an angle so your wrist is in more neutral position. It does not have that awesome spinning mouse wheel that the MX master has :frowning: but does seem to help with my RSI/carpal tunnel syndrome.

I’ve been very happy with the MX Master series in the past, but a few years ago now I switched to the G502 Light speed models because I just didn’t like the look of the latest master generation at the time. I love that it’s wireless and sits on a wireless charging mat, so I don’t think I’ve ever plugged it in. The G502 X Plus Light speed is my current desktop mouse and I’m very happy with it for office work and before my 2nd child was born last year and I had time for such nice things, it was good for gaming too.

When I’m out and about though, the MX Anywhere 3S does the job very well. I tried calling around my initial g502 in a hard shell, but faffing about with the single was a pain and the MX Anywhere can pair up with 3 devices, so I can switch from work laptop to personal laptop with ease.

As others have said though, mice are very much a personal thing and what’s best for me might be horrific for you, if possible, try to get a feeling for what it feels like in your hand before buying, or buy from somewhere with a good returns policy in case that technically perfect mouse just doesn’t work for you it your situation.

If trying in person isn’t possible, you can also compare the size and shape vs the mouse you have on hand using this site: eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=logitech-mx-master-4-vs.-logitech-g-pro-x-superlight-2

I’d definitely recommend the Logitech MX Master 4. It’s far better suited to office work and long hours, with excellent ergonomics and the MagSpeed haptic scroll wheel being a huge upgrade for browsing and productivity. Battery life is great, accuracy is more than enough, and the extra buttons are genuinely useful.

I use the G Pro X Superlight on my PC and it’s an excellent mouse for gaming, but it’s not ideal for office or productivity work due to the lack of ergonomic support and productivity features.

For everyday work and multitasking, to me, the MX Master 4 is the clear choice.

+1 for the MX Vertical!
I’ve been using it for more than 1 year now (with the ERGO K860 keyboard) and I am very happy with it, my wrist is not hurting even after a long session. Also its weight /size is perfect for me (but I have big hands).
Buttons are limited to the minimum though (only back and forward under the thumb) and I am recharging it every couple of months I think (it has a USB C port and can be used while charging).
One of the nice things is that you can pair it with up to 3 devices (either with a Unifying dongle or Bluetooth) and select which device to use it with with a small button under the mouse.
