It’s been a few months in which my Framework suspension feature has been borderline unusable. About 75% of the times I wake it from suspension, it fails to respond (black screen) for about a minute, then it turns into a Blue screen with error “DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE”. I’ve had BSOD since I first bought the laptop 1.5 years ago, but now the frequency is just ridiculous. As you can imagine, this is extremely annoying, and has lead me to accidentally lose considerable amount of unsaved work.
Honestly, this has lead me to recommend against purchasing a Framework to everyone that has asked me about my laptop. I hope this can change in the future.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I could try to fix this? Here’s some info about my machine:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7640U
- Windows 11
- BIOS 3.09
- Driver bundle 2025-04-02
- Crucial P5 Plus 2TB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 - CT2000P5PSSD8
- Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 5600MHz - CT2K16G56C46S5
- No weird system-level customizations or modifications
Thank you very much in advance! (I can’t use Linux as I need certain Windows software for work).
