CachyOS gaming on FW16 AI 9 HX 370 - can someone verify - Where Winds Meet?

I have the FW16 running on CachyOS and now tried on Steam Where Winds Meet - can someone confirm if I expect too much? The game is on graphic-mode “Balanced” playable, but GPU is 100% utilised.

In Steam I am using “Proton Experimental” (but I also do not notice any differences picking another option).

I launch the game from Steam with the options:

LD_PRELOAD=“” PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE=1 PROTON_FSR4_RDNA3_UPGRADE=1 PROTON_USE_NTSYNC=1 MANGOHUD=1 ENABLE_LAYER_MESA_ANTI_LAG=1 game-performance %command%

It also seems to make no difference running it as “Play Where Windws Meet” or “Where Winds Meet (DirectX12)”.

Can I adjust my launch options? Should I use a different launcher? Or is this the best i can expect from integrated graphics?

Integrated gpu from cpu will always be weaker than dGPU. So yes you won’t expect much power, until you buy a dGPU.

I assume your not getting a satisfactory framerate, although you never actually say what the problem is. If that’s the case, then you can try using gamescope to run the game at 800p then upscale to 1600p.
