Hello Community,
I’m reaching out because I’m experiencing an issue with my laptop that I haven’t been able to resolve.
I purchased a Framework Laptop (Version 13) with an AMD Ryzen processor and Windows 11 in April 2024. It worked fine until recently, but now I’ve noticed that the camera is no longer functioning. I checked the camera’s privacy settings, the physical switch above the screen, and even reinstalled the BIOS and AMD Ryzen drivers bundle. Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue.
Windows troubleshooting for the camera didn’t help either.
Additionally, when I go to Device Manager, the camera does not appear in the list of hardware. I also ran the PowerShell command as an administrator: Get-PnpDevice -Class Camera
, and received the following output:
*Get-PnpDevice : No Win32_PnPEntity objects found with property ‘PNPClass’ equal to ‘Camera’. Verify the value of the
property and retry.

- Get-PnpDevice -Class Camera
-
+ CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (Camera:String) [Get-PnpDevice], CimJobException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : CmdletizationQuery_NotFound_PNPClass,Get-PnpDevice*
Can someone help me ?
Best Regards
