Can I restrict the operable touchpad area while still using that data for palm rejection?

On my 16, the palm rejection fails if my palm touches the touchpad just slightly at the edge. I don’t ever use this are of the touchpad for actual touches. Is it possible to “reserve” this area for palm rejection (to avoid the issue just moving inwards)?

With GNU/Linux, anything is possible except working palm rejection.

I am mostly kidding, but have you had any real luck with it or are you still just dealing with it? I find putting a .7-.8 second delay on the touchpad while typing is the best solution, but your mileage may vary.
