Charging LED blinks after resuming from hibernate

  • Laptop version: 7040 series; 7640U version

About 30 seconds after I resume from hibernate, the charging LED on the side starts blinking a code (W=white, G=green, R=red, B=blue): WGGGGGGGGGGGRRGGGBGBBG.

What does this code mean? Is there any reference that explains the possible blink codes?

Do you have a 2.8k screen? They seem to always produce a blink code.

Yes, I do. Is that really the cause? I don’t have another display to test with, unfortunately.
