New Univ. Club, Fresh Hardware, and a Lot of Curiosity
Well met, Framework Community!
We’re Claw Command, a brand new cybersecurity club at Cal State LA. Our unofficial motto is ***"do cool sh****t" which we think can lead anyone to success.
Framework sponsoring us is a huge deal! It means our members get to actually use hardware to experiment with, break, fix, and learn from in ways most academic environments don’t allow. We want students graduating with real hands-on experience, not just the 5% of what they hear in lectures or textbooks.
What We’re About
Our focus is infrastructure, AI security, and hardware. Right now we’re integrating our Framework Desktop into a rack donated by the National Upcycling Computing Collective (NUCC), and our first build project is a 19-inch rack mount for the Desktop unit. More is in the pipeline and we’ll be documenting it on the forums as we go.
We Want Your Help!
If you’ve got something sitting in your project backlog that you haven’t had bandwidth for, or you’d love to see a group of motivated (and slightly chaotic) hacker students take a swing at it, drop it in the comments. We’re not afraid to fail publicly, and we’d love to collaborate with this community.
More to come. Cheers!
