I have been having trouble with the Delete Key (key at the top right corner, US English keyboard) - it only works intermittently. I’ve done the test in the terminal with sudo libinput debug-events and the key registers sometimes, sometimes doesn’t. I’ve really just lived with it, and it’s not the end of the world, but it’s annoying. As far as I know, this is the only key that has this issue. I’ve reinstalled the OS a couple times over the last year (not for this issue), but this has always been an issue. Not sure if it’s hardware or software. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated - thanks!

Hardware Information:
Hardware Model: Framework Laptop 12th Gen Intel Core
I’ve had similar problems with the delete key on a German keyboard. Might just be a bit of dirt stuck in just the wrong place. As it’s right on the corner of the keyboard, it’s pretty easy to reach for cleaning without disassembling the whole keyboard. Just open up the laptop and treat the key with a bit of compressed air or something.
I believe warranty is 2 years in parts of Europe, 1 year in the USA. Contact support if there is a chance you could be still under warranty.
This definitely points to a hardware issue.
You can inspect your keyboard cable for tears or creases. Creases can sometimes be a point where internal breaks can happen.
I’d be interested what comes out of your adventure. I had the same issue on my keyboard and I assumed it must have been me somehow breaking it and I replaced the keyboard… (which is the reason why I am getting frameworks that this is so easy).
(It was actually some more keys in the same area.)
I had this issue as well. For me it turned out to be a hardware fault that’s not uncommon on this model. Framework support sent me a new keyboard and it worked fine after that.
I had exactly the same issue and after running some tests and sharing the report, my typecover was replaced under warranty. Probably the same issue. I think it happened to older models. I’m on a 13th gen. Should contact support. It seems software related, but in my case, it wasn’t
