dGPU on Zorin 17.1 (22.04 LTS based)

I’ve been working through some of the idiosyncrasies but I think am settling in. My preferred OS is Zorin 17.1 which is based on 22.04 LTS, so I’ve setup a partition with 24.04 LTS and another with Zorin and then updated according to the 22.04 guide, including the kernel update and mediatek update (I was having wifi issues on both installs). I’m stuck though with ensuring the dGPU is enabled, despite having the kernel updated.

[RESPONDED] Zorin OS on the Framework Laptop

Hi @Zyzzyx_9141, My apologies for the late reply, I only saw your reply now. Unfortunately I am not able to confirm whether the Framework Laptop 16 works with Zorin OS out of the box as we don’t have access to a unit and haven’t heard from any users who have attempted running it. I’ll contact the Framework team to check if they’re able to test a copy of Zorin OS 17.1 on a Framework Laptop 16.

 
This is a FW13 thread on their forum. Didn’t see a FW16 specific one. Might need to start one, though as noted by the Zorin folks noted above, they don’t have a FW16 to test against.
