So I got my batch 13 (prolly my clue to a bad omen) framework 16 back in May and saw I had the bezel pinch issue pretty badly at the right magnet near the webcam. I got some probably questionable advice that any hint of bezel pinch can cause stuck pixels on the screen. So after getting a new bezel and screen and not really fixing the issue, plus having some tolerance issues with the bottom spacers I sent it into repair at the beginning of july.
I still don’t have it. I don’t think support knows where it is. I’m stuck waiting but boy I’m feeling really burned here. I know noone is at fault. Support has been excellent just where the heck did it go? Has this happened to anyone else?
How long has it been since you had your laptop sent to the Repair Center?
I recently had to ship my Framework Laptop 16 to the Repair Center and it’s been about three weeks (took about one week to ship so four weeks total). It is somewhat frustrating, but they have said that the Repair Center is experiencing quite high volumes recently.
At this point, your best option is just sending some emails and asking if they can check the status of your repair.
Oh no. That’s not good for me. I have a dbrand skin on mine, and obviously I can’t remove it before sending it in for RMA. If they replace it with a new one, while it’s nice I get a new unit, BUT I’m going to lose my dbrand skin, which was expensive.
Also I sent mine about a month ago. I can’t believe I would need to wait another month.
Hello @Destroya, do you happen to have an estimation on the estimated time the repair center takes for laptop repairs?
I’ve been in touch with support, but they have said they are yet to get any update from the repair center about the status of my repair or about the estimated timeframe that repairs take.
I just got this response, but no word on when it’s ready.
Thank you for reaching out. Please rest assured that our repair center has been notified about your dbrand skin. We will handle your laptop with care to ensure the dbrand skin is not damaged.
