It’s been almost a year with my AMD Framework 13. During this year, i used it mainly at home, but only recently i decided to disconnect the battery, since i know it should prolong the overall battery life.
I initially noticed some delays when booting, then suddenly it started to not boot at all (black screen with the led power button light on). Everytime this happens i have to force shut down and reconnect the battery by unplugging and replugging the AC, hoping that nothing has happened.
I wonder if someone also has encountered this problem or maybe has found a solution, and i thank everyone in advance for answering.
The AMD version doesn’t have an RTC battery, disconnecting the Li-ion battery will make the mainboard to do memory training every time you start, hence the prolonged boot time. You can set the battery charging limit to 60% to prolong the battery life without disconnection
Yeah i also saw somewhere else that it goes in memory training, i only wonder why it takes so long now and if it’s supposed to… btw thanks again
