Display is blue-ish

I have the new UQHFD+ or whatever the hell-it-is high-res display. The one that’s matte and rounded corners.

It’s blue-ish.

A MacBook Pro and two Dell monitors all agree on their shade of #ffffff. My Framework doesn’t, and shows it significantly more blueish.

Why? I thought this was supposed to be 100% sRGB and calibrated.

Unfortunately, it’s definitely not calibrated. I use https://www.notebookcheck.net/uploads/tx_nbc2/BOE0CB4.icm and it works “ok” but it’s never going to be as good as actually calibrating the display.

(TBH, I have no idea why this is the corner Framework chose to cut).

Close-ish…more like 98-99%.

Nope.

White point temperature…relatively. Your MBP and Dell likely is calibrated to D65. With the Framework display, uncalibrated, the native white point is north of 7000k IIRC.

They’re not cutting out corners, it’s just that there aren’t any other suitable 4:3 displays on the market.

The issue isn’t the display, the issue is that they didn’t factory calibrate it.

It’s 3:2. The laptop 13 displays are all 3:2 aspect ratio.
