Follow everything in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Installation on the Framework Laptop 13 - Framework Guides
Did you end up trying this with the OEM kernel? I’m curious if that worked. And just to confirm, did your monitor before the fix work when you used two cables?
I have the same issue. Portable monitor requires two cables. Logs show error messages with the USB connection ( ucsi_handle_connector_change: ACK failed (-110))
I’ve been running Ubuntu 22.04 with Linux version 6.5.0-1018-oem. Framework 13 AMD.
I just wanted to share that this issue is still ongoing. About a week ago, I received my Framework 13 with the AMD Ryzen 5 7640U. When connecting an external monitor (which has its own power supply) via USB-C on either port 1 or 3, I often have to plug and unplug the cable multiple times before the display receives a signal.
I have tried Ubuntu and Fedora without luck.
@nrp Could you please let your team have a look into this. I appreciate it.
