Just want to know if the extreme heat and fans turning on is normal for the first boot up…
If the machine is set to turbo boost or something like that in the bios for startup then yes it is. It means that the system is at full tilt to allow the system to boot faster. It is not expecting to sit in the BIOS for a time. This could be improved, because the system just gets hot for no real need.
With this feature set to max battery savings, the fans will not come on assuming the system is cold. But this does slow down boot performance.
No OS, no power management. CPU is running at constant speed in BIOS like a desktop computer
