Got a Framework 16 with a RX 7700s attached to it. Lately it’s been randomly disconnecting during use or at start-up. Only re-enabling upon restart. Disabling and enabling the display driver did not help. Reinstalling the AMD drivers also did not solve the issue.
Similar issue as GPU disables itself on start-up (Framework 16) I think.
Event viewer shows these errors whenever it happens:
Miniport driver failed to start device with status {Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
No idea how to fix this? Any suggestions on what I can try? It’s ruining the laptop for me and I can’t really afford to replace the GPU at this time.
