Fan Running Loud and Almost Constant

A couple days ago my Framework 11 fan started running at max intermittently and sometimes steadily for minutes at a time. Even when I turn the system on from cool the fan often goes full blast. CPU’s are usually between 8-15%. Sometimes the fan shoots on for 1 second as well.

The issue started while I had the lap top on a couch surface with some dust on it, so I figured maybe some dust was clogging something up.

To access the fan without messing with the heatsink, I removed the mainboard to access all sides of the fan and cleaned it out with compressed air. Got some lint balls out… : )
However, when I turned the computer on again, the fan is still blasting sporadically. Tips for next steps?

how hot is the CPU getting

CPU is 20-50 degrees Celsius. (Based on an average of temperatures given in a core temp program, that I found by googling how to find CPU.)

how loud?

You can find the CPU temperature using HWINFO. However, if the fan is consistently loud dispite CPU is cool, you may find this piece of information useful

Seconding this recommendation.

did you seat the fan connector fully?

The fan goes as loud as I have ever heard it go, like full acceleration lasting 20 seconds to a few minutes, or sporadic blasts between full on and off, or sometimes quiet

yeah but how loud compared to something else?

framework’s fan curves are known for having a rather quick ramp-up
