i edit it to 1.5 then i logout then log back in and get 100% scaling
not 150% right? looks like falling back to the closest value by default
It seems they changed the behavior in GNOME 49 to make it automatically switch to a value in the GUI. Unfortunately, I’ve since switched back to Fedora 42 (because of other issues) so I’m on GNOME 48 and can’t help from here.

i have tried gnome 50 in a gnome os nightly vm and it unfortunately doesn’t have a 150% option.
but, the backgrounds look better (in my opinion)
I think with GNOME, last I checked (before 50), you needed to enable fractional scaling under wayland with dconf.
