Did someone say, Framework 12 durability testing? Oh right, it was me.
You can hear me audibly sigh right before at least one of the tests. The saying, “this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you” comes to mind, as I all but throw my FW 12 at the pavement. But here we are.
I guess it’s all relative. When I look at a lot of the bags talked about on here, many of them are $50-$100+. This bag was $26 at Wal-Mart, lol. But it’s definitely not bad for the price.
But it looks like all it has for the laptop is a thin foam pocket, same as random cheap bags. Those provide virtually no actual protection. It’s a joke
It was tough. I didn’t even realize I did this until I was editing the video, but before I pushed it off the table the first time, I hesitate and you can hear a little sigh, lol.
I decided to do the testing because I thought it would be interesting and helpful to know how well it holds up. And eventually, every part will be available. If it broke, I’d document what broke and the repair process to get it working again. And also, I did sort of buy this one for testing. I haven’t “moved in,” so to speak. I have a batch 3, i5 Sage ordered that will become my daily use machine when it arrives. Still, I really didn’t want this one to break, which is why I ended up deciding not to keep escalating the “testing.” I still have more, non-durability testing I want to do. And ultimately, I will pass it on to someone in my family who needs a machine.
I believe I even hear you running up to the trunk of the car before you ‘gently’ set the Laptop inside.
In any case, thank you for doing this for us and for providing your findings!
