Framework 12 keyboard backlight switch?

Framework 12 keyboard backlight switch? It doesn’t seem to be ctrl-space any more?

Unfortunately, the FW 12 does not have a backlit keyboard.

What!!! I thought that was absolutely basic in this modern age…!

I will have to turn the light on when I want to look up something in the middle of the night!!

The 12 cut quite a few corners unfortunately but no usb4 and no backlight on the keyboard were probably some of the worse ones.

The F and J keys (or equivalents on non-US-QWERTY layouts) have little nubs on them to make the “home row” easy to find even in complete darkness. Then it’s easy to know where the rest of the keys are in relation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touch_typing#Home_row

No, it’s not. I cannot feel the difference between the left arrow key and control button. I have to count which is slow.

It’s also easy to miss the gap between the Up and Down arrow keys. The Enter and \.

My work around is to have this light behind and below the desk.
