Hi all,
Almost everything is in the title. I have already updated my laptop several times by following the procedure, but this time, no way, my usb drive won’t boot as described.
I’ve tried to boot a Linux live system in order to check that everything work properly → no problem.
When I do the same with the USB drive (FAT32 formatted) where I have copied all the files, it doesn’t appear in the list and I can’t boot to it.
Do you have an idea for me? Who can I solve this issue?
Just wanted to jump in and say that I am having a similar issue. My FW13 is allowing me to boot into the USB drive, and it says that it’s running the startup file but it then gets stuck in a boot loop and nothing happens. I have done one BIOS update prior with no issues. Any thoughts?

Can’t say if it is a coincidence, but the time(s) I have tried, I did a “normal” (quit) format of the USB key. This times, I did a “slow” format of my flash drive and copied the files after that. Then it worked.
So I would tell you to do a slow (or complete, I don’t how to say in english) format of your flash drive and try again.
After that, could you tell here if it worked for you too ?
Thank you very much for the suggestion! Happy New year to you too!
I did erase/completely format the drive using Disks application > selecting my flash drive > settings > format partition > selecting erase & FAT format.
This did not fix my problem, unfortunately. The specific error code I’m getting is “Error 331: Full FW update using the same version is not allowed”.
