Framework 13 Keyboard Feel Changed - 11th Gen to Ryzen 7040

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knew if the keyboard included in the Input Cover had changed from the one included in the 11th Gen Prebuilt to the International English (Linux) keyboard that ships with the Ryzen 7040 series DIY kit. I just purchased the latter, and when comparing the keyboard, it seems to me to feel much mushier or less snappy than the one that shipped with the 11th Gen prebuilt. However, I’m not sure if this is because the keyboard itself is different, or whether the one that shipped with the 11th Gen input cover is simply more aged than the new ones.

Tl;DR: Besides the keycap art, is the keyboard between the 11th Gen Prebuilt and the Ryzen 7040-series supposed to feel any different?

as far as I know they are both Gen 1 keyboards/input covers

That is what I thought; should we chalk up any differences in feel to simple age/wear then? I did use the input cover that shipped with the 11th Gen pretty heavily.

When reading the description of the keyboard the marketplace, it does say “2nd gen” next to them, so something must have changed. Apparently to improve audio output interaction with the keys. My guess is to reduce unwanted vibrations when playing sound.
