Framework 13 Ryzen 7840 Airpods Pro and BSOD

Hi Folks,

Two or three weeks ago, my laptop instantly BSOD’d when connecting AirPods Pro 2 via Bluetooth. I don’t have dump files, or error messages. While I was trying to troubleshoot the crashes, I updated the BIOS from framework’s website, which didn’t fix the problem. I then installed drivers from AMD’s site, which also didn’t fix the problem. I have since deleted the AirPods profile from my laptop, which has not BSOD since.

But it seems like it’s enough of a thing that others are having the same errors. See:

Is anyone else having this problem? If so, any ideas what it might be?

Yep same exact problem here (Framework 13 Ryzen 7840)

What do you mean by that?

This reddit comment from the above post suggests a fix:

Thanks for the suggestion–I missed this. This is currently working for me (for a few minutes). I’ll relay if it crashes again in the future. Any luck with this, @Tobias_Trippacher ?

Already tried that, my AirPods would show as “connected” but won’t show up anywhere else or work.

Wait I just re-installed the Framework Driver Package and now they work without problem. I may have a idea where this problem came from. @Jeff_Turner
I had the newest AMD Graphics Drivers installed (so not the official one from framework) Maybe that was it.
Or maybe you only have to delete the entry in the Bluetooth settings and fully re-connect them.
