Framework 13 screen flicker

Hey there everyone.

I’ve been trying to get into linux recently with ZorinOS as I’m in no means computer savvy whatsoever. However I’ve been running into an issue where the screen would flicker with no rhyme or reason. I’ve attached a video to show what it looks like whenever it happens. (Ignore the blue light filter, I have very sensitive eyes. Could that be the issue though?)

I don’t know what BIOS type or Kernel I’m on at the moment, I could check if need be, just need to charge the laptop.

I have the AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series DIY Framework 13, so I could absolutely understand if the issue could be tied to some cable being loose or something, but the issue wasn’t a thing when I started using it months ago.

I would really appreciate any help here, just hope you can bear with my lack of computer knowledge.

I haven’t used ZorinOS but what I can say that I and many others encountered screen flickering issues with Ubuntu 25.10 and Ryzen AI 300 processors.
For me, switching to Ubuntu 26.04 (clean new install) fixed the issue. I think it was fixed with a newer Linux Kernel. And given that ZorinOS is also based on Ubuntu, you might be affected by the same issue.
I think users mostly experienced it on white websites. It could of course also be a hardware issue but I would guess it being related to a specific kernel version is more likely.
