Framework 13 unwanted wake from sleep

My Framework 13 Laptop wakes from sleep if the external mouse, touchpad, or keyboard are touched. I want to stop these unwanted wake-ups, and limit wake up capability to the power button.

Processor: Intel Ultra Series 1

O/S: Windows 11 Home

Solutions already in place and unsuccessful:

  • All devices listed in Device Manager under “Human Interface Devices”, “Keyboards”, “Mice and other pointing devices”, “Network adapters”, and “Universal Serial Bus Controllers“ either have the “Allow this device to wake the computer” option unchecked in their “Power Management” tab, or they do not have a “Power Management” tab.
  • Wake timers are disabled in the “Advanced Power Settings” section of the Control Panel.
  • Checking for wake-armed devices with “powercfg -devicequery wake_armed” at the Command Prompt returns “None”.
  • The latest driver bundle (1.02) and BIOS version (3.06) were implemented at computer set-up
  • BIOS (3.06) settings does not have a “Power Management” section containing sleep options.

Despite these actions, the unwanted wakes from sleep continue. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thank you.

Unfortunately what is really desired here is the Hibernation mode which is disabled by default in Windows 11. You can google how to turn on Hibernation mode.

Then change the settings in Windows for when the screen is closed, or the power button is pressed to go into Hibernation mode. Alternatively, after enabling hibernation mode, selecting Hibernate from the Power menu instead of Shutdown, Sleep, or Reboot is an option too.
