Hi I really this is the correct category, i need to install windows on my framework 16 for school/work and it currently has linux on it. I am assuming I need to factory reset it and reinstall windows but have no idea how to factory reset it, any advice would be useful thanks!
No, you don’t need to do some factory reset. Backup all your data outside of laptop and run Windows installer. Then during the install delete all existing (Linux) partitions and create a new Windows partitions. Installer will do the rest.
That’s the case, if you want to completely replace your current Linux installation with Windows. If you want to keep Linux and install Windows beside it (i.e. dual boot), that’s much more complicated process.
