I will note that I had problems with the eDP cord and the fingerprint reader cord when I was repairing the laptop.

Sounds like you answered your own question. Check/fix those cords first.
Those can stop the laptop from booting? Genuine question, I have a feeling that could happen with the eDP connector, but I didn’t know the fingerprint reader cord could do it too.
Is there a way to get a replacement finger print reader cord? Just preparing for the worst.

I could be wrong (not opening mine to check), but I think the “fingerprint” cable is the same as the power button cable.
I did find the fingerprint cable loose. Let me see if I can fix that.
It now boots!
I know you have it fixed now, but you could have purchased a new power button if you needed to from the “shop” area of the FW website site.
Search for “fingerprint” sensor as i think they call it that, instead of power button.
