My Framework 16, running Ubuntu 24.04.3, is having trouble waking up after suspending. This seems to specifically happen when it is connected to two external monitors. I’ve updated everything I can find, including the firmware. What can I do?

Hi Peter! Can you share what software you were running when going into suspend?

Firefox and PyCharm.

Hi. You say that it is specifically happening when two external monitors are connected.

What are the monitors?

What cable type is used to them? USB-C, HDMI, DP ?

USB-C might cause problems in the sense of more way to trigger bugs, whereas HDMI,DP is probably less of a problem.

The monitors are Asus VN279s.

They are connected by DisplayPort cables to a Dell K20A dock, which is connected to the Framework via USB-C.

Bonus clue: this only happens if I keep the laptop open to get a separate screen. If I run it in clamshell mode, everything works fine.
