I found the following manga comics about the Framework Laptop, mentioned on Framework’s X account. Nice!
That’s not manga, but cool comic!
Oh, what’s the difference between manga and comics? I don’t understand that.
It both is manga, and is not. Just depends on where you’re from.
The term manga is used in Japan to refer to both comics and cartooning. Outside of Japan, the word is typically used to refer to comics originally published in Japan.
As I understand it, if one is from Japan, it’s absolutely manga. Since it’s really just a generic term, with no need for the comic to be from Japan.

Manga are Japanese comics (originating from Japan), or graphic novels drawn in the style of Japanese art. They have a pretty distinctive art style.
The above are just normal comics. Japanese would not even refer to them as manga, they would most likely call them “amekomi” or “webukomikku”
My source, I have Japanese relatives.

I am trying to understand jared_kidd, and to learn a different perspective rather than trying to argue And yes, I should show my appreciation for the author of the graphic story with the texts.

Ouch, what a very negative way of seeing things. I thought of it as just an informative fun conversation. Language terms can have many meanings to different people.
MJ1 calling himself out is funny too. Can’t take things on the Internet too serious or you could end up in a mental institution
I have seen that DHowett took action and stepped into lots of hard arguments on other threads to make the communications better and peaceful on this forum. So, I can understand his feelings.
Good to see a BBC Micro logo amongst the stickers. Is that the most obscure one?
