Framework Fan Art 🎨🖌️

Not my work, and not directly framework, but I thought some of you guys might appreciate this poster by the right to repair movement.

I thought those were framework logos… Confirmation bias is real

Hey guys, I created a background that combines the sustainable and the modern side of Framework, in a minimalistic approach. It’s a bit of a style break but I hope you like it as much as I do

Has anyone noticed the picture at 47:00 in the Launch Event video?

Appropos of a discussion early on in this thread (look for Feb '22 and read everything down to my “slug” remark), I think this could make for a great piece of fan art - perhaps with the logo added…?

Just a thought…

My first reaction is “omg EMR screen lets gooo” rather than “hmm cool pen you had”.
I don’t think it is too Framework related, but nevertheless.

cool picture idea:

I want to see someone do a blender render. The squares are your expansion deck/module/cards and they are flying in to the laptop to, well, fill in the gaps or whatsnot.
Kinda like Tetris posters.

Or kinda like a “exploded view” technical drawing. Basically is saying “hey our laptop can do this. Buy it and unleash creativity” or whatsnot.

Hello! I wanted to share my Lego Fan project of a Framework Laptop! I made a 13 inch mock up a while ago but upon hearing about the showcase of “something new” i wanted to wait. I’m still not quite done yet but I couldn’t wait to render this out and show everyone!

Wow! That is so cool! If you could release the brick requirements and instructions, I’d be so down for building it IRL!

Oh how times have changed! I don’t know if you would consider the FW 16 a “Gaming” laptop but it’s pretty dark close! I love the carbon fiber motif on the lid… Maybe it’d be a good idea to get that as a dbrand skin

Still not clue whether it have a single m.2 slot or two in the base model tho :v

I think that’s the screwdriver they ship with the laptops.

A green background for framework

Hello,

Sorry, I come late in the game.
But when I saw @JacobFavreault and @sniss animations, I immediately thought it would be very cool to have this when booting Windows !

I had a look around and saw this video:

The Youtuber apparently uses Resource Hacker to do the job.

Has anybody tried yet?

I finally got around to trying this, also made a few minor tweaks

Hello everyone.

I have some nice photos from my vacation that I would like as a background. Can someone edit them to include the framework logo like the ones Jacob did?

If yes. send me a PM please.

This is a post I just made in the 3:2 desktop wallpapers thread, it’s a bunch very similar to what @JacobFavreault and @feesh made, but with my own photos.

I was debating whether to put it here or there, so I put it there first and then linked to it here.

I think this belongs here:
There’s a tweet from Stephen Maurice Graham where he shares the wallpaper he made for framework. I’ve uploaded it here, but it’s a little small (from compression on X/Twitter presumably)

There’s 9 full-on computers in that picture, but I don’t think it matters.

I also have found a legit use case for a decently modern laptop – Miracast.

Did I miss something, the FW13 supports Miracast…all platforms?

Thanks for the idea @P_bark! And thanks a lot to @sniss and @JacobFavreault for the GIF. I had put this on my to-do list and was scared to do it but ended up being pretty easy on Fedora, i think it would work on any Linux distro that uses Plymouth

If anyone wants info or the files just ask away and i will do a post to explain it all. As for windows, i haven’t done anything with it.

Hey there, I’m interested in the files you used for the boot animation, if it’s not too much trouble
