Framework keeps randomly freezing

Randomly my framework keeps hard freezing and the only fix is to hold the power button. I am using my framework with an razer core chroma connected to a 4070 ti super, I have 64gb of the dd4-3200 ram from Framework. I was having this issue back when I only had 32gb of ram, back when I had an 11th gen framework board, and back when I had a 3080 ti super. I have tried upgrading each part of my machine, I have ran a memtest86 on my ram. The only thing left to try is reinstall windows, but I am currently trying to see if my framework laptop freezes when the egpu is not plugged in. I have also tried swapping out the egpu enclosure, thunderbolt 4 connector, and display port cable. The egpu is plugged into the top right usb-c port of my framework.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I have an interview on Tuesday 1/14/25 and I need to make sure my computer doesn’t freeze mid interview. I will try reinstalling windows tomorrow (Sunday)

I left it overnight without the egpu and it hasn’t frozen. I’ll reinstall Windows and hope that fixes it, since it must be some weird software issues.

Reinstalling windows did nothing, but I found the fix.

I did two things, 1 update the firmware of my SSD apparently there is an issue with the firmware I was on. 2 I removed my GPU driver and installed the notebook version (per a random reddit thread from 8 years ago) and that fixed it!
