I’ve found that I really don’t use the input modules that much with my setup so I got rid of them entirely.
Introducing framework tablet 16
I’ve lost some features along with the keyboard and touchpad like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, camera and microphone array.
Well it is still WIP and I’ve got some ideas on how to include those in later versions.
Thus far, it is satisfactory.

Oh, and no. It doesn’t have touch features as it’s the same display that came with the laptop.
Version 0.1, after all.

Ah, so you removed the keyboard/touchpad layer and turned the display around? Clever!

Version 1.0 is finished.
I am satisfied with the result.

Lowerpartv1.stl (136.0 KB)
Powerbuttonv1.stl (89.5 KB)
Upperpartv1.stl (91.5 KB)
It was very difficult to print.
Had to have a professional do it.
Also I need to reprint the powerbutton myself since last one doesn’t fit. But I believe the print should work once done properly.
and to get wifi and bluetooth working I smacked two of these onto the 3d printed upperpart

One major downside is that the grub can’t be flipped like the sddm and desktop.
It has to be done at the bios or uefi end if that’ll ever be supported.

Button works and fits but it is terrible design. It is what it is.
Sometimes it may get stuck on the power button and you need to jitter it to get it unstuck.
Maybe designing some little rails for the button to ride in will limit the tilting that probably causes the stuck situation.
I was designing a button module for that socket. It didn’t come out as planned. I’m not a mechanical engineer so I had to throw in the towel. I thought I’d put a base into the socket and a needle that would punch through the base as the button but its terrible.
So I’ll leave in the button even though it is dysfunctional. It’s there for cosmetic purposes as I use my dock to power the framework.

Here’s kind of what I was thinking for the button:
