Frequently Distorted Audio on Boot

Processor: AMD 7840U
Operating System: Windows 11
BIOS: 3.03

Problem: Upon booting into Windows 11, the audio coming from my speakers frequently gets distorted, making them unusable.

However, a simple reboot usually fixes the problem, which leads me to believe it’s more likely a software issue than a hardware one.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  • Checked Event Viewer for error logs
  • Checked for Windows updates
  • Disabled corrupted / failing audio-related services

Despite these steps, the issue persists. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You could try disabling hardware acceleration and audio enhancements to see if that makes any difference.

Reinstall drivers and/or check for driver updates.

I have now disabled the Realtek Audio Effects Component and the AMD Dynamic Noise Surpression. I’ll be editing this reply if it reappears in the next few days. I haven’t been able to find a way to effectively reproduce this issue yet.

EDIT: Issue reappeared.
