Running Ubuntu 24.04.1 (and Gnome) and connected via USB C to a Philips external display, the FW only pushes the Philips at it’s native resolution when the lid is closed. With the lid open, the external drops to an even lower resolution than the built-in display.
Has anyone seen the same and found a fix?
Thanks.
What display mode are you using? Are you saying that the native isn’t selectable in gnome settings app? What resolution and refresh rate are you expecting?
I have to enable HDR on my 48CX to get above 30hz at 4K.
Edit: By display mode I mean are you duplicating one display to the other, extending or setting primary to the philips?
That’s odd! It might be a power-saving or display mirroring issue. Have you tried tweaking the display settings in Gnome or adjusting the power settings when the lid is open?
