No, they said in the email it takes at least 4 days. That was yesterday.

Yeah, I was just wondering why his order was automatically cancelled.
Ok I have the response.
The payment got refused but the mail that inform me of that fact was in my spam.
So I missed it and that is the reason for cancellation.
Pretty sad but that’s it.
I’m on batch 9 now, I’ll be waiting a little more.

Hey Michel, sorry they didn’t just reinstate your batch 1 order 
To possibly help the rest of us avoid this situation, I have a few questions for you:
- Was that a black/gray laptop, as opposed to sage/lavender/bubblegum? (I assume so, based on timing)
- Did you receive (possibly in your spam) your “we’re preparing…” e-mail on or around the 17th of June?
- Did you receive (in your spam) the failed payment e-mail on or around the 27th?
Those dates correspond to other black/gray batch 1 people who reported progress in this thread.
If the dates match the e-mails you received (but got spamified), it means a way to reduce the risk of losing our orders is for the rest of us to start paying special attention to our spam folders once other people in the same batch/color start posting about the “preparing” and “payment” e-mails in their respective batch threads.

Got my “preparing Batch 1” email on the 10th (shipping to UK, i5, lavender, UK keyboard, 4x lavender USB-C IO). No email about trying to take payment yet and can’t see anything in my spam.
- It’s the black edition
- I receive the first “we’re preparing your order …” e-mail the 17th of June and it has NOT being flag as spam
- I received (and missed) the payment problem on 28th of June and a second (also in spams) the 7th of July.

We all got the email on the 10th and nobody is going to get charged before the 14th. It even says in the email that it takes at least 4 days.
The email just says it will ship in 4-21 days, nothing about when payment will be taken:
Your order is shipping soon! It’s expected to ship between 4 to 21 days from today.
In my experience, they don’t charge the final amount until your order is ready to ship.

Oh I misread this bit then as I thought they would take payment on/after the 11th.
To avoid delivery delays or incorrect product configurations, changes to payment method, shipping address, and product configurations must be done by July 11th.
I guess I’m used to Amazon etc where you don’t need to leave your order alone a few days before payment/shipping.
Just got charged for my Batch 1 Sage Laptop 12!
(well, got the “Action Required: unable to process your order” e-mail first, but proceeded to pay the balance and it’s now “shipping soon”!)

I had first an error for the payment because of some security reasons at my bank. After that I could paying manually and that was succesful. Now it is waiting for it. I do not know how fast it will deliver now. But, next Sunday I will go on holiday. Will it be before of after it. Or during my vacation that it will arrive..
I have a Batch 1 Sage pre-order, but I still haven’t even received the Batch Processing email. It still shows as “Pre-Order Confirmed” on the site. If Reddit is any indicator, it seems there are others in this same situation.
Same here. It’s almost 10am in San Francisco, just after midnight in Taiwan, so we might get an email tomorrow?

For me it also shows “Pre-Order confirmed” and I have already paid. So, I guess that it stays there a little while.

I believe that status won’t change until it ships, then the status will change to “Shipped.”
But once you are charged, if you look at the order details, it should show remaining balance is 0.

You’re right the balance is 0 now. Earlier it was still the amount I had to pay after I paid.
@JTrevail, you’re still waiting on the payment e-mail but you did get the “preparing” e-mail, right?
Might be obvious but did you check your spam folder? I received the “We’re preparing your batch!” e-mail for my Batch 1 Sage Laptop 12 (so same as you) on July 10 and I think others here too.
