I wonder when the colors will catch up to their black/gray counterpart batches.
Also, don’t you all feel sad for the poor no-fun black, gray, and silver users? (pay no attention to my black de-badged Thinkpad with not even a single sticker )
Sure, they get their FWL12 sooner, but at what cost?
Too accurate.
I seem to feel a need to appear boring, at least on the surface, as sadly too many take that as a sign of being professional and adult. I keep the fun just under that thin surface.
I de-badge because I have an innate hatred of company advertising. I almost don’t care how much I like the products a company produces, I don’t keep their logos on my property unless I feel it benefits me.
I do, but not as much as people with laptops from other brands.
The fw12 in black looks way cooler than most laptops imo.
But all the colors are on a different level, like good luck finding a laptop in bright pink and blue.
My guess is no earlier than mid-July, (so like July 16th probably.)
I’m bothered, but not enough to get a skin, fortunately, lol.
I’d be surprised if they didn’t at some point at least introduce matching type A and HDMI cards, since those are so popular.
Memory: Probably 32GB Kingston FURY Impact KF556S40IB-32 (not purchased yet, will buy it last minute so I’m still in the return window if it doesn’t work - it’s not in “the list”)
Keyboard: French-Canadian (French accents but in a QWERTY layout - AZERTY’s not for me)
Will dual boot Fedora 42 KDE Plasma and Windows 11, and I’ll leave some empty space so I can try other Linux distros (Probably won’t be using Windows 11 much though, it’s just in case - and I have an unused license)
What color? Sage of course! With 2 sage USB-C and 2 lavender USB-C (because), plus a few other expansion cards.
P.S.: Hey Team Sage, how about another thread, “FW12 The Even Cooler Batch 1 Guild”?
P.P.S.: Hey Team Black/Gray Batch 1, you’re still our favorite cousins
Eh; I was going to go all aluminum, which would’ve been pretty cool, then I saw the red and orange transparent cards, and I said fuck it, let’s do this.
It’s not as much that it doesn’t support bigger drives but that there currently aren’t any. It’s ultimately a m-key m.2 slot so pretty much anything pcie will work there as long as you can physically fit it.
