Oh wait nevermind, I thought that email Brian posted was that they started shipping. Speaking of, when is it actually happening? Will it even be in June?
Also wondering if they will make their June shipping promise for batch 1, because I am leaving for a country they don’t ship to in July and want to bring the laptop with me on the flight. So far they haven’t taken the remainder of the money from my card. Really hoping they will at least ship first week of July.
Does anyone know if for the EU they ship from within the EU or if everything is shipped from Asia?

They’ve already missed two shipping dates. The 10th of June and the 21st.
My confidence in what they say is steadily going down. 
I think they ship to The Netherlands warehouse and from there to everywhere else in the EU. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I doubt that very much. My FW16 Batch 1, my wife’s FW16 (months later when in stock) and the FW13 I just ordered last week for my brother were all shipped from Taiwan. I think only parts are stored in other warehouses, not the laptops themselves.
PS: I live in The Netherlands.

Missed as in they communicated them before for the FW12? Or are those logical dates for shipping products if you were to ship them in June?
Edit: Netherlands would suit me since that’s where I am right now.
June 10th is the logical latest shipping date for “early June” and the 21st is the logical thing to assume if they “Ship a couple of weeks” from the 7th.
They aren’t explicitly saying these dates, but they’ve still changed how I see what they say.
Now we know if framework says something will ship at a certain time, it means “As late as possible to technically be correct.”
edit: If they miss the end of June it means framework shipping dates are completely empty.

Would be a bummer if they don’t ship in June really. I specifically chose the black one to get it sooner. Guess we’ll find out in less than a week if they will meet the June “deadline”.

I read somewhere that they surpassed 100k donations for Batch 0. So that’s at least 400 devices ($250 donation). I assume this is why all other batches will take a bit longer.
That’s nice for them, but all the more reason to meet shipping deadlines for that batch since they got sizeable donations for people to “skip the queue”. I see in their thread that none have shipped so far. Looks like we’ll be pushed to July for sure.

Most likely. Here’s my pragmatic guess based on what we know:
Batch 0 B/G : Ships early July
Batch 1 B/G : Ships mid July
Batch 1-6 S/L/B : Ships Late July to early August
Batch 7-9 : Ships Mid/Late August
I have noticed they’ve steadily started giving themselves more wiggle room in their communications. Like the preparing batch email being “4-21 days” and batch 7 onward, allowing for an entire 3-month window to ship.
That’s good? More communication would be neat though.
Mid July would probably be too late for me to get it before I leave. So I’ll have to return it then. Too bad. But let’s wait and see, hopefully they can get it done sooner. If they meet the June deadline for batch 0 it should still be possible.

It’s more like paying to displace the queue.
Maybe there were a lot of takers when they announced that Batch 0 was still open until last Friday evening.

That is how skipping queues work (at least for non artificially limited ones)
I would expect it to work like that to a certain extent.
But to the extent that it pushes every other batch out of their shipping window? No.
I think most would expect an update in that case. That would be the norm.
In this case, there seems to be a lack of planning or communication. (Or both.)
To be fair, It’s too early to really tell whether every other batch will be pushed back that far, but it certainly looks that way.
Skipping a queue always pushes the skipped parties back, not sure how shipping windows would have any influence on that unless they can somehow pull more supply out of a hat.
