FW13 Spacer holder expansion card (idea)

I’m loving my FW13, but I also love the FW16 panels.

What if there was an expansion card which protruded out from the side of your FW13 and let you plonk down a FW16 LED panel, numpad or macropad, with all the necessary gubbins hiding in the port to control it (RP2040)?

This is probably very easy. The RP2040 is in the input module, so you’ll only need to convert voltages.

No voltage conversion needed. The connector uses 5v. github.com/FrameworkComputer/InputModules/tree/main?tab=readme-ov-file#pinout

okay, so basically just mapping USB-C to this

In fact, there’s an adaptor

Yep. Very easy. Finding a suitable connector available in small quantities might be the hardest part. And someone found one that works here External USB-C enclosure for input modules - #2 by C_Scott_Ananian

I’m pretty sure VCC_3V3 does not use 5V

Apologies, I seem to be blind :upside_down_face:
