I’m experiencing persistent USB stability issues with the rear ports on my Framework Desktop (Ryzen AI Max+ 395). Looking to see if others have found permanent fixes for the following:
1. Insta360 Link: Audio/Video Conflict
The camera fails to initialize both video and audio simultaneously.
-
The Symptom: Only audio functions. To get video, I must use a separate headset for audio.
-
The Temporary Fix: Physically replugging the camera restores full functionality, but the issue returns immediately after a reboot.
2. Dell U4025QW Hub: Error 43
When connecting the monitor’s built-in USB hub to the rear ports, Windows reports Device Descriptive Request Failed (Code 43).
- Status: I am currently testing different cables to rule out bandwidth/signal degradation, but the error persists across standard configurations.
System Specs:
-
CPU: AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395
-
RAM: 128GB
-
OS: Windows 11
-
Peripherals: Insta360 Link, Dell U4025QW
Has anyone encountered similar power delivery or handshake issues with the rear I/O? Any BIOS settings or chipset drivers specifically for the Ryzen AI Max+ platform that improved USB stability for you?
