According to device manager my graphics board is a AMD Radeon 780M.
After a windows update my external monitor stopped receiving a signal.
I recently updated the driver and got it working again.
Now, every time I power off and than back on I have to re-install that driver in order to use the external monitor.
How do I fix this?

Hey, am having a similar issue where the driver seems to fail after reboot, then the Radeon 780M is deactivated in device manager. Also get an issue where the screen is blank after boot, and get external monitor issues as well. I keep needing to re-install the driver bundle as well as the AMD Adrenalin installer to get things to work again.
Am curious as well if anyone has resolved similar issues.
Hey, so I think I resolved the issue by swapping out the RAM. Before I had 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) Crucial DDR5-5600 RAM in the laptop. Now, I swapped in the 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) Crucial DDR5-5600 RAM from Framework in my laptop.
Here’s the link:
After re-installing the drivers one last time (both the latest driver bundle and the AMD Adrenalin drivers), the problem is gone. Also BIOS is updated to the latest version, 3.09. I also set the iGPU Memory setting in the BIOS to Gaming
as opposed to Auto
.
Everything seems to be working without any issues at the moment. Will keep you posted if anything changes after a week or so.
