HDMI Expansion card (3rd gen) limited to 30Hz refresh rate, Help?

My new HDMI Expansion card (3rd gen) only gives me 30 Hz max @ 4k. framework laptop 13 (intel 11th gen) running Ubuntu 22.04

I’m looking for answers on how to fix it, as the expansion card is listed as being able to run at 60Hz 4k. My monitor is fully capable, hdmi cable is 2.1. Using display port runs fine at higher refresh rates. For reasons, i need to use my laptop on HDMI.

Not sure if this is a Linux issues, a expansion card issue, etc.. could use some help getting this fixed!

Have you tried different cables? I’ve had problems with this aswell an in the end it was a cable issue. Even a known good cable did not work with the card.

multiple cables… in fact bought a brand new one also just to test this issue. no joy.
