Faulty HDMI card

Hey all,
I have a Framework 16 and I’ve been having issues with the HDMI card (it’s gen 3). The card is only outputting 640x480 resolution. I’ve tried this in multiple ports with the same result. Confusingly, my cheap docking station from AliExpress is outputting the HDMI connection perfectly fine. Ideally, I’d like the port on the laptop to work so I don’t have to carry around the docking station.

I’ve updated the Radeon drivers with no improvement. I’ve also tried the HDMI card as a dongle on the back of the 7700s USB port, but the same thing occurs. Anyone else experiencing this issue and has a solution?

I agree with what @DraconicBovine here. Open a support ticket; it is still under warranty.

Presumably the original poster (OP) has tried different cables and hopefully more than 1 monitor (TV, etc.) to see if the problem is isolated to the expansion card.

Imagine if that was hard soldered to the mainboard; good thing Framework is modular and repairable! :wrench:
