After the latest Windows Update I lost sound through the HDMI connection to my monitor. Sound on Monitor (Inspire FireTV) works from other sources. I’m getting sound from laptop speakers.
I was able to get a brief fix by deleting all sound devices and deleting the drivers in Device Manager, doing a Safe Boot then a full reboot. That only lasted about 10 minutes.
Using Microsoft Edge and a streaming service seemed possibly related to the after the Safe Boot fix. But I haven’t been able to repeat it.
Also sent feedback to Microsoft.
