I have a FW13 7040 series. I was wondering, what hinges provide the least screen wobble? What I mean by that is if I have the laptop sitting on my desk and I touch the corner of the bezel, it will wobble for a solid 2-3s. What tension (3.3kg,3.5k, or 4.0kg) will have the least wobble? I don’t personally care about one handed opening. It’s nice but I’d prefer my screen to not shake lol. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
I would get the 4.0 kg hinges. I replaced my original 3.3 kg hinges with the 3.5 kg ones almost two years ago because the original set had become far too loose. Over time, the 3.5 kg hinges have loosened up, too, and they are now at the point where I think I’m going to have to replace them again. I should have gone with the 4 kg hinges in the first place.
