So I designed my own case. For now it has a Raspberry pi 5.
Pproblem is the space inside. I have a maximum width of 17cm thus I need a small motherboard.
I want to build a really good gaming PC and I kindly ask for some help.

FW publish details of their mainboards on github.
E.g. The smallest mainboard would be the FW12.
The diagrams are available with:
git clone https://github.com/FrameworkComputer/Framework-Laptop-12.git
./Mainboard/2D/Framework_Laptop_12_MB_Generic.pdf
It shows the dimensions of the mainboard as being:
Approx:
219mm x 108mm.
I don’t know how tall the components are off the board.
So, I don’t think that FW mainboards will fit, as 219mm is greater than your 170mm width limit.
Another option is the FW Desktop.
git clone https://github.com/FrameworkComputer/Framework-Desktop.git
./Mainboard/FRAMEWORK_DESKTOP_MAIN_PCB_V0.pdf
It is Mini-ITX size.
It is 170mm x 170mm so might fit. It is about 90mm high with heatsink and fan.
A consideration is heat dissipation. How good is the cooling solution in your case.
Modern games often need a powerful CPU and GPU.
Another way of approaching this, is to choose the mainboard you wish to use, that has enough CPU for the games you need, and then design a case around that.
