As the title says, where do I have a better GPU for gaming and an overall better battery life?
I have a 13 with the 7640U CPU. I can’t comment on the 125H, but here are the real-word specs I see for mine:
Geekbench CPU: Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040Series) - Geekbench - 2563 single; 11388 multi-core;
Geekbench GPU: Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040Series) - Geekbench - Vulkan score 33574; comparable to a GTX 1650 discrete card.
In real-world usage; Blender classroom rendering takes ~ 6 minutes, Running beamng.drive (driving sim) at mid-high settings at 1080p averages 47fps, and when running local LLMs in LM Studio, Qwen 3 7B gets about 34tok/sec, and Nemotron 3 Nano 30B gets about 12tok/sec.
As for battery life, I have not tested a 100-0% run, but at idle with nothing running (powersave mode, low brightness, no wifi/bluetooth) it draws about 3.4 watts; running light tasks (youtube or office apps) draws 7-9 watts, and heavier tasks (like Blender, LLMs or gaming) draws anywhere from 20-38 watts.
from this, I can reason that max battery life is about 16 hours if left to idle, or about 6-8 hours running light tasks, and 1.5-3 hours gaming.
My laptop has the 55WH battery, standard 2.2k display, and 32GB of ram, running Fedora 43 with KDE Plasma Desktop.
