Hi,
I’m experiencing intermittent noise when my headphones (Major IV) are connected to the notebook via audio jack. It’s more noticeable when the volume is low. I think the issue is related to Framework 16 hardware and / or drivers. Diagnostic info:
- FW16, AMD Ryzen 7040 Series
- OS: Linux Mint 22.2 x86-64, kernel 6.14.0-37-generic
- I used the same song and software for all my tests
- Connected headphones via Bluetooth: no issues
- Switched the audio jack module from bottom-right config to bottom-left: issue remains
- When selecting “analog output” or “digital output” in the Sound Settings: issue appeared for both configurations
- While being connected to AC or while on battery: issue appeared for both configurations
- I connected the headphones to another notebook (same Linux Mint version and kernel): no noise
I know there has been a post about the same issue a couple years ago but without resolution: [RESPONDED] Headphone jack intermittent noise? - #25 by Atul_Ingle
Is there anything else I should try or debugging info that I could provide to diagnose this issue further, please?
Cheers!
