International English: Weird Layout for the Framework Laptop 13 Pro Input Cover Kit

Hey everyone,

I was just looking at the photos for the Input Cover Kit with the International English layout, and something seems a bit off. There are two blank keys, and it looks like there’s a dash/backslash printed directly on the ISO Enter key: https://static.frame.work/po00gjv21mnf3fcn8z6zlsos0u6g

Can I assume that the layout shown on the standalone keyboard product page (not the kit) is the accurate one, and that it’s actually an ANSI layout? https://static.frame.work/l4vg1glqxebowtk667knjozuys28

Yeah, that looks like an error in the picture they used. If I recall correctly there was an error in another keyboard picture of theirs. It appears their keyboard pictures use a template and adding the correct keycap legends can go wrong.

I’d suggest contacting Framework support to ask for clarification on the layout and report the error, knowledgebase.frame.work/contact/contact-us-rJfw7Ryglx

Answer from the support team:

„We’d like to let you know that the issue with the incorrect image is already known, and our Marketplace team is actively working on updating it. At the moment, we don’t have an exact timeline for when the correction will be live, but please be assured that it’s being addressed."

So yeah, it is just an error and the international english keyboard will still be an ANSI layout!
