Ioften discoverspaces missing while typing on the Framework 16. Paying close attention, I think the pattern is that the spacebar is reliable when I strike it near the long edge closest to the trackpad, but it sometimes fails to register when I strike it near the opposite long edge that abuts the cvbnm keysin the QWERTY layout.
lsusb identifies the keyboard as:

Should I replace the keyboard, or does the keyboard design simply require some discipline to hit it the right way?
Your keyboard should be agnostic to which part of each key you press as long as you do press on it hard enough to register (which shouldn’t even be that hard).
If this has happened to you on other computers then it’s probably on you to just press the spacebar harder; but if you are only seeing this behavior on your 16, I would suggest contacting support if your warranty is still active. If your warranty is over and you confirmed that the keyboard built into the 16 is the problem then I’m afraid you will just have to buy a new keyboard module.
But sunny side up, this problem would’ve been much harder and expensive to fix if it was a Macbook!
