Is my current SSD the right form factor?

I have a “Crucial MX500 1 TB SSD” that I bought from ifixit as an upgrade for my old laptop. The form factor looks different from the drive shown in the DIY Framework instructions. Does this mean it won’t fit and I’ll need to order different storage?

Thanks in advance for your help. I’m definitely more a software person than a hardware person (part of the appeal of Framework is being able to do repairs myself anyway) and trying to make sure I don’t mess up my order.

The form factor you need is called m.2

Thanks! I suspected but wanted to be certain before spending the $ for a different drive.

Here is a list of “officially” supported drives.
What storage (SSD) parts are compatible with the Framework Laptop?
This is by no means a complete list, but should give you an idea of what is compatible.
