I am on fedora 42, latest bios update, latest kernel update, AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370,
And I have in the BIOS set a battery charging limit of 80%.
However in the OS it still seems to charge to 100.
So is it actually limiting it but fedora doesn’t recognize it, or is the charge limit being disregarded?

That’s a known issue fixed by BIOS 3.04 (currently in beta).

You probably should disable battery extender in the BIOS if you have charging limited to 80%
Once set in the BIOS.
- Power off the laptop.
- Unplug the PSU cable.
- wait 100 seconds.
- Plug PSU cable back in and power on the laptop.
It should work better then.
